Los Angeles Rams rookie quarterback Jared Goff joined the Shower Hour on Tuesday, and the Bay Area native chatted about his beloved hometown teams.

P-Con had to ask Goff what kind of reaction he got when the QB wore a Dodgers jersey, a team he and his friends grew up despising.

“Oh god it was unbelievable. It was like I killed somebody,” joked Goff. “It was like, come on. I grew up in the Bay Area. I was a fan of the Bay Area sports. And then I get drafted by an LA team, so I’m going to support the teams down here as well. It’s not the end of the world.”

Earlier in the interview, P-Con asked Goff what his pitch would be to lure Kevin Durant to Golden State.

“Do you want to win a championship?” Goff said smoothly and convincingly.

Goff was in attendance for Game 7 of the NBA Finals and he relived the experience.

“It was brutal. Growing up a Bay Area guy, I’m a huge Warrior fan. Been to a bunch games the past year or two. But at the very least, getting to see LeBron win a championship was very special as well.

“No one sat down the whole time. It was wild — yelling, screaming. In the fourth quarter, when it was tied up, there was probably two minutes left, it was like, ‘Wow. This is the end of the season. This is the last two minutes of the year.’ It was cool.”

Get used to seeing Goff. In Week 1 the Rams will travel to Santa Clara to face the 49ers on Monday Night Football.
