Warriors showing interest in PF Nicholson [report]

Alex Kennedy of Basketball Insider is reporting the Warriors have shown interest in Orlando Magic power forward Andrew Nicholson. He was a first round draft pick back in 2012 and is an unrestricted free agent entering his fifth year in the league.

Nicholson posted 6.9 points per game last season and grabbed 3.6 rebounds in just over 14 minutes per game.

Nicholson could strengthen the Warriors bench and provide height in a back-up role. He’s been a rotational player his whole career, though, and is being courted by several other teams who could promise bigger roles.

What’s more important: Playing time or competing for a championship?

The Warriors didn’t really have a player like Nicholson off the bench last season. He has improved his three-point shot every year, and has both slashing and big man capabilities. If Kevin Durant isn’t signed, Nicholson makes a whole lot of since for Golden State.
