Former troubled Raiders quarterback Todd Marinovich was arrested on Friday in Irvine after being found naked in a somebody else’s backyard with drugs, according to The Orange County Register.
Police charged the 47-year-old with four different counts: trespassing, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana. TMZ is reporting Marinovich also was arrested for possession of Meth, too.
The Raiders drafted Marinovich in the first round of the 1991 NFL Draft. He was arrested in 1990 for possession of cocaine and again in 1997 for illegally cultivating marijuana at his Dana Point home. The arrests continued in 2000 for Heroin, in 2005 for drug possession at Newport Beach and again in 2007 for a controlled substance and possession of a needle.
Marinovich’s story and his father Marv have been well-documented as part of his demise. His NFL career lasted just two seasons.
