▶︎ Patrick McCaw hits two buzzer-beaters in Warriors win

The Warriors are quickly finding out their second round pick, Patrick McCaw, could be a contributor off the bench the moment the regular season begins.

McCaw sank a three-pointer with 1.1 seconds left to force overtime and later hit a runner in the lane to elevate the Warriors 129-128 over the Denver Nuggets in the preseason.

McCaw scored 10 of Golden State’s 16 points in overtime. Don’t let his skinny frame fool you: he’s relentless with the basketball in his hands, a pure shooter and a good enough perimeter defender to play right away on Oct. 25 against the Spurs.

Bay Area News Group’s Anthony Slater is hypothesizing McCaw will be the 10th man off the Warriors bench this season, behind Andre Iguodala, Shaun Livingston, David West and Ian Clark.

McCaw’s fourth on the Warriors in scoring this preseason with 11.0 points per game, behind Kevin Durant (18.5), Klay Thompson (18.5) and Steph Curry (14.2).

Here’s one more angle of McCaw’s final buzzer-beater from Warriors sound guru R.C. Davis.

Our Warriors coverage on KNBR.com will intensify once the regular season begins.
