Hawks announcer agitated by Draymond’s dancing after game-winning block

OAKLAND — Draymond Green was the talk of the interview room after the Warriors’s 12th victory in a row, this time a 105-100 win against the Atlanta Hawks.

With 45 seconds left, Green blocked back-to-back shots, both on driving Hawks guards Dennis Schroder and Kent Bazemore. It was one the most impressive and memorable defensive feats of his career and without a doubt secured a Warriors win.

Steve Kerr said he’s never seen a dominant defensive sequence like that to end a game. Andre Iguodala said Draymond is clearly in pursuit of the Defensive Player of the Year Award. Green said he’s “pissed off” people thought the Warriors wouldn’t be a good defense this season, and he’s using it as extra fuel. Green also said his ankle was sore at times through the night, which makes his blocks against Atlanta’s speedy guards even more impressive.

“That’s what he does,” Kevin Durant said.

After the game-winning block on Bazemore, Green did a little bit of yelling, a little bit of screaming. Nothing out of the ordinary for the power forward.

But there was someone who wasn’t thrilled with the celebration. Atlanta Hawks announcer Steve Holman.

There’s nothing better when local announcers get bitter after a close loss. An NBA tradition unlike any other.

Draymond is going to keep doing Draymond, FYI.
