Paul Kelly, the father of 49ers head coach Chip Kelly, passed away on Friday.
After Kelly coached the 49ers in their 26-6 loss to the Chicago Bears on Sunday, general manager Trent Baalke released a statement on behalf of the organization, saying the San Francisco head coach will take time to be with his family before returning to the team.
