Jon Miller is planning on incorporating hashtags into his broadcasts this season

Giants broadcaster Jon Miller has a better Instagram account than you and your 21-year-old cousin who pretends to be a famous supermodel.

There’s something about a jolly Miller posting selfies of his daily activities and endlessly hashtaging the photos that just flat out works on social media.

Miller is embracing his connection to younger baseball fans and is planning on bringing his newfound vernacular from mobile phones to your television screens in 2017.

“I’m looking for some hashtag kind of stuff,” Miller said. “I think we can translate hashtags from the Instagram right on the air with it. A guy makes a great play, ‘A diving stab by Crawford, up to his feet, throws him out at first. Oh, man! Brandon Crawford! Hashtag Lit. Buster is hashtag On Fleek.

“I’m still looking for the right phrases. The right hashtags. There’s not many radio guys using the actual phrase ‘hashtag’ with his superlative on a baseball broadcast. I’m thinking that could be my new thing this year. If you’ve got some new ones for me, don’t hold back.”

Some of the hashtags Miller uses on his Instagram account include:

#YayArea

#NoChill

#SquadGoals

Send us other hashtags you want Jon Miller to use this season and we’ll pass them along to him.
