Monday, March 27 was a sad day in East Bay sports history.
For the second time the Oakland Raiders, a team born in the East Bay, has jumped ship for greener pastures. The NFL owners voted by a 31-1 tally to allow Raiders Owner Mark Davis to move his franchise to Sin City.
To KNBR 1050’s Ted Ramey, this move was all about the money.
“Mark Davis saw this and it was his easiest, fastest way to increase his equity value in his franchise – that’s all it comes down to. Which makes me that much more sad for Raiders fans in general.
