Pelissero: Executives around the NFL split on what 49ers will do with pick No. 2

As mock drafts continue to pile in from analysts across the country, the San Francisco 49ers are one of the most talked about teams heading into the NFL Draft.

USA Today’s Tom Pelissero joined The Audible on KNBR 1050 to talk about the 49ers’ potential thinking heading into the draft. Pelissero mentioned in the interview that executives from other teams really don’t have a sense of what San Francisco will do on draft day.

“I’ve asked that question to executives from 10 teams in the past couple of days and I’ve gotten 10 different answers,” Pelissero said. “If you’re looking for the consensus second best player in the draft, and that’s presuming that Myles Garrett despite recent speculation goes number one to the Browns or somebody else, which I still think very likely, the number two guy is probably Jamal Adams, the safety from LSU.

“I think when you look at him and his background, he’s a clean prospect in terms of when people are asking around the school about him, he’s  known as a really good leader. If you’re thinking culturally what John Lynch and Kyle Shanahan have talked about, he’d make a lot of sense.”
