Krueger: Giants must sustain momentum going into Dodger series

After an extremely disappointing start to the season, the Giants are finally starting to show some promise. After getting demolished by the Cincinnati Reds last week in a 3-game set with a combined score over the 3 games of 31-5, the Giants came back and took 3 of 4 from the Reds this weekend. Krueger attributed the Giants success this weekend largely to the pitching staff and the return of Denard Span from the disabled list.

“The Giants got Denard Span back in this series, who’s really been swinging the bat well,” Krueger said. “The other thing that’s happening is they’re getting quality starts. Four quality starts in a row.”

The Giants begin a pivotal three game set against the Dodgers on Monday that will show how much momentum they garnered from the Reds series.

We caught up with Larry Krueger in studio, who said that it’s pivotal for the Giants to continue this momentum heading into a three game series with the Dodgers.
