SAN FRANCISCO- Monday night The San Francisco Giants call up Mac Williamson as they announce that Left Fielder Hunter Pence will go on the DL.
“Mac, he’ll play right, some left.” Giants manager Bruce Bochy said during batting practice. “You know, he’s been up here so he’s got some experience here. He gives us a healthy guy and also gives us a chance to allow Pence to get healthy.”
Pence is out with a left hamstring strain but Bruce Bochy didn’t seem worried, “It’s mild but its enough to put him on the 10 day disabled list, we’re optimistic.”
Williamson comes in as the Giants face their rivals the Los Angeles Dodgers, first pitch is at 7:15.
