The Yankees retired Derek Jeter’s number 2 jersey before their Sunday night game against the Houston Astros and dedicated a plaque to the ‘Captain’ in Monument Park in right field. Yankee fans were abuzz to see the captain back in New York for a night; along with fans around the country as the eventual game was the most watched MLB game outside of the playoffs since 2002.
