SAN FRANCISCO-Friday Giants manager Bruce Bochy reported their injured ace Madison Bumgarner would be throwing this week as part of his rehab.
“[He’s] riding horses, dirt bike ridding” Bochy joked before the game,”We got him back on them, so he’s doing better.”
After a slow start to the Giants 2017 season Giants would stand to benefit from getting their ace Bumgarner back into rotation.
“He’ll probably be throwing at some point this home stand” Bochy went on to comment on Bumgarner’s own frustration, “It’s always a big step, I know what step he’s looking forward to. I’m sure he’s getting antsy and a little tired of doing a lot of the rehab without doing what he loves to do and that’s throw baseball”
