SAN FRANCISCO- Saturday night at AT&T Park the San Francisco Giants broke their 4 game losing streak as starter Ty Blach nearly shut out the Atlanta Braves.

Though the final score reads 6-3 Ty Blach held the Braves to 0 runs and 4 hits in a dominant performance. Blach’s otherwise strong start was spoiled in a break out 7th inning for the Braves leaving Blach with 6 hits and 2 earned runs.

“He can pitch,” Giants manager Bruce Bochy exclaimed after the win. “You love the guy’s tempo, his command, he holds runners, fills his position well, and he can help himself out with a bat. I’m not surprised about what he’s doing”

Blach held a good tempo leaving in the middle of the 7th inning with 102 pitches. He struck out 5 batters and induced many ground outs that left the Braves mostly scoreless.

“I feel really comfortable,” Blach said after the game. “I feel confident I can execute pitches especially at this park with how pitcher friendly it is. It’s been really nice.”

Him and catcher Nick Hundley worked well together on the field as well as at the plate as Hundley chalked up his first Major League home run. Blach himself supported the offense with two hits and an RBI. The Giants are now 15-7 when scoring more than 4 runs in a game.
