Lund on Warriors: The Good, The Bad, and a Cautionary Tale

Following a convincing win over the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 1 of the NBA Finals, John Lund discusses the good and bad from the Warriors, and gives a cautionary tale as he looks ahead to Game 2.

The good was easy: Kevin Durant. Durant scored 38 points on 14-26 shooting with 0 turnovers in Game 1, dismissing the notion that Durant would “ride the coattails” of the other stars on the Warriors team to win his first NBA championship.

The bad: Klay Thompson’s offensive production. Despite a stellar defensive performance, Klay struggled on the offensive end, scoring only 6 points after shooting 3-16 from the field.

Although Game 1 gives Warriors fans plenty of reasons to be confident, Lund warns fans to not crown themselves as champions just yet, because the beginning of this years finals is very similar to last year’s series, and we all know what happened then.
