Cowherd on Warriors changing NBA: ‘The Bay Area keeps doing this in every single sport’

There’s no denying that the Golden State Warriors have changed the game of basketball.

The Warriors are the only team in NBA history to win at least 65 games for three seasons in a row. Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson combine for six of the top seven three-point shooting seasons in league history.

They’ve built the beginning of what looks to be a dynasty on a simple philosophy: three is greater than two. Position-less basketball that heavily favors the 3-point shot over higher-percentage shorter shots.

Colin Cowherd knows this, and pointed out on his show that the Warriors aren’t the only Bay Area team to change their respective sport.

“The Bay Area keeps doing this in every single sport. Moneyball…Bay Area. West Coast offense…Bay Area. Three ball…Bay Area.,” Cowherd said on his show.

“They’re smarter than where you live. They are. And they keep doing it over and over in basketball, in football, in baseball, in tech, in business. It’s the greatest concentration of brilliance in North America. High IQ’s. Eveolved thinking. It’s not a shock that the Bay Area ended up changing basketball.”
