Buster Posey, one of the few Giants pulling his weight this season, was named as the National League’s starting catcher last weekend for the 2017 MLB All-Star Game. On Monday Posey was shown even more respect, with the announcement that manager Joe Maddon will bat him cleanup in the NL’s murderers row of hitters.

Posey, 30, is currently fourth in the NL with a .324 batting average and is second on the Giants with 10 home runs. This will be Posey’s fifth All-Star Game and fourth as the National League’s starting catcher.
