We join Murph and Mac in the studio to talk San Francisco 49er football.
Last year the 49ers were among the worst teams in football compiling a 2-14 record finishing last in their division. The 49ers are in need of help at the quarter back position and have been linked to Washington Red Skins quarterback Kirk Cousins due to his relationship with new 49er head coach Kyle Shanahan. Murph had this to say about Cousins and the 49ers:
“The only other option would be if the 49ers got the No. 1 pick and Sam Darnold of USC is out there.” Murph stated, “He’s one of these guys that people think will be the next great superstar in the game.”
The 49ers have enough cap space to sign Cousin’s and along with his ties to Shanahan they may opt for a shorter term solution for a proven player rather than hope for a No.1 pick. Regardless of whether they choose to pursue Cousins or wait for a prospective No.1 pick, the 49ers will definitely be looking to add a franchise quarterback soon to help fix their ailing offense.
