SAN FRANCISCO – The 2017 season might already be lost for the San Francisco Giants, but it might stay interesting with moments like this.
With two outs in the bottom of the fifth frame Thursday night Ty Blach walked up to the plate with a solid 8-1 lead. That 7-run lead would balloon shortly thereafter.

Blach isn’t a terrible hitter, bringing a .161 average into tonight’s game. He also shows flashes of power regularly in batting practice, holding his own against Madison Bumgarner and Jeff Samardzija when the pitchers step into the cage on off days.
