Kevin Durant won the NBA Finals MVP in his first season with the Golden State Warriors. Is it possible that he’s the regular season MVP in his second season?
It’s more than possible, according to Bovada Las Vegas, which gives Durant 9/2 odds to win the award for the second time in his career.

Russell Westbrook – the 2017 league MVP – is currently the favorite with 7/2 odds. Durant is right behind his former teammate, however, and could very well pass him and the rest of the players in the league over the course of the season. He is widely seen as the best player on the best team in the league, and if the 2017 Finals are any indication of how Durant might perform over an 82 game season, it might not be the worst decision to bet on the Warriors small forward.
Durant’s teammate and two-time league MVP Stephen Curry checks in with 11/1 odds, seventh behind Westbrook, Durant, Kawhi Leonard (13/2), LeBron James (15/2), James Harden (7/1), Giannis Antetokounmpo (17/2).
Draymond Green checks in with 60/1 odds. Klay Thompson was not listed.
