During their mid show hit, Murph and Mac touch on the Mayweather McGregor fight.

The two fighters squared off on Saturday in a historic matchup that saw UFC fighter Conor McGregor make his boxing debut against the undefeated Floyd Mayweather. Though many thought the fight to be a forgone conclusion which would end in an easy Mayweather victory, it was the trash talking and showboating between the two fighters which captivated the world. Brian Murphy had this to say on Conor McGregor:

“I think that in general what you sense was, was that he was just a showman. It’s showmanship it goes back to Ali, and that stuff goes a long way towards appealing.”

When the match finally began McGregor came out on the offensive winning the first three rounds, seemingly putting Mayweather’s sure fire victory in jeopardy. During the later rounds, however, McGregor seemed lose his composure as his energy dwindled and Mayweather’s experience kicked in. Mayweather ended the fight in the 10th round as McGregor visibly ran out of gas and lost by way of a TKO.
