With their postseason hopes already dashed, the San Francisco Giants’ season will end October 1.

However, a number of the team’s top prospects will play competitively during the offseason, including Tyler Beede and Steven Duggar.

The Arizona Fall League announced rosters on Tuesday afternoon and four Giants’ prospects were listed on the Scottsdale Scorpions’ roster. Beede and Duggar will be joined by catcher Aramis Garcia and relief pitcher Tyler Cyr.

Beede is the Giants’ No. 3 prospect according to MLB.com, and the top pitching prospect in the organization. Beede spent nearly four months with AAA Sacramento this year before straining his groin warming up for a start while warming up for a start at the end of July.

Duggar was also injured this season, as he missed the first three months of the year with a hip injury. He returned to action at the end of June and spent more than a month with the San Jose Giants before being called up to AAA Sacramento. The No. 7 prospect in the Giants’ farm system, Duggar is a versatile outfielder who San Francisco hopes can be the center fielder of the future.

Garcia is a former second round draft pick of the Giants who can play catcher and first base. After spending 81 games with A San Jose this season, Garcia was called up to AA Richmond where he’s hitting .254 in 18 games.

Cyr is a right-handed pitcher and a native of Fremont, California who has compiled a 2.09 earned run average in 45 games with AA Richmond this season. The 24-year-old was a 10th round draft choice out of Embry-Riddle University in 2015.

Multiple reports indicate the Giants will also send two more pitchers to the Arizona Fall League this offseason, but those players have not yet been announced.

The Arizona Fall League is a six-team league which hosts many of the top prospects in baseball each offseason, as it’s considered a prestigious circuit that offers players an opportunity to work beyond the regular season.
