Krueger: ‘It’s time to jump ship from Hoyer to C.J. Beathard’

After Sunday’s loss in Arizona Larry Krueger is calling for a change of pace as the 49ers are now 0-4.

Brian Hoyer has been the starting quarterback for the San Francsico 49ers since the start of the season and although the losses have been lessened every game the Niners have yet to pull out a win.

“Brian Hoyer is not getting it done on third down,” said Krueger. “They’re not getting it done on the scoreboard, they’re not scoring touchdowns and that’s the job of the quarterback.”

Despite putting the game into overtime the Niners only stayed alive by accomplishing 5 punts. On Sunday Hoyer went 3-11 for 7 yards in the 4th and through his four starts has only completed 26 percent of their 3rd downs. The 49ers offensive numbers are not promising and Larry is calling for Beathard to step up.

“C.J. Beathard was impressive in the preseason and played like a veteran,” said Krueger. “I’m not saying CJ Beathard’s a world beater but I’m saying it’s time for C.J. Beathard.”
