OAKLAND–When you show up at Oracle Arena, you should know to expect the unexpected. Even in the preseason.
Sure, the Warriors playing the Kings in the last tuneup before the regular season isn’t going to feature SC-Top-10 level highlights. In fact, Friday’s game didn’t even feature Draymond Green, Kevin Durant or Andre Igoudala.
Nevertheless, magic was in the air. And so too was love.
Cheers to Yethzeli and Marcelo, who were bold enough to use Friday the 13th to get engaged.
Midway through the second quarter, as the action stalled and the television broadcast went to break, Yethzeli took matters into her own hands and dropped down onto one knee as Oracle Arena erupted with a roar. No, it wasn’t your traditional male-to-female proposal, and yes, it wasn’t a regular season game. But Yethzeli stole everyone’s hearts on Friday night, and apparently, Marcelo’s has been locked up for awhile. After all, he did say yes.
What a time to be alive. What a time to be Yethzeli and Marcelo.
