Warriors sign free agent center

OAKLAND, Calif. – The Golden State Warriors have signed free agent center Trevor Thompson, the team announced today. Per team policy, terms of the agreement were not released.

Thompson, 23, posted career-best averages of 10.6 points, 9.2 rebounds, 1.50 blocks and 23.0 minutes in 32 games (20 starts) with Ohio State last season. The 7’0” center recorded a team-best 11 double-doubles and was named Honorable Mention All-Big Ten in 2017. He played with the Boston Celtics in the NBA Las Vegas Summer League this past July, averaging 2.3 points, 1.5 rebounds and 7.8 minutes in four games.
