Linebackers Reuben Foster and Ray-Ray Armstrong had to use their NFL speed to out-race a would-be robber early Sunday morning in San Francisco according to the Missionlocal.org web site.

After returning from Washington where the 49ers lost to the Redskins, Foster and Armstrong reportedly visited the club Love and Propaganda at 85 Compton Place in the city. The players noticed a white Audi casing the situation and that’s when Foster turned over his jewelry to a female patron in the club. The players then summoned security to walk them to their car and that’s when two men wearing hoodies and carrying an assault rifle emerged from the Audi.

Foster and Armstrong ran to the St. Francis Hotel to call the police. The 49ers released a statement: “We are aware of the reports regarding the robbery and we are very thankful no one was harmed. Reuben and Ray-Ray have been, and will continue to be, cooperative with any further police investigation.”
