OAKLAND–One of the best parts about winning a major championship has to be receiving that iced out ring you can wear the rest of your life, and the Warriors are hours away from receiving those fruits of a successful 2016-17 campaign.

A large chunk of the Golden State Warriors already have a ring to their name after winning the league title two years ago. Others, like Kevin Durant, will be trying on their first Tuesday night in front of thousands of fans at Oracle Areana.

Durant was candid about his feelings heading into the the event.

“I told you just over there before the scrum that I wouldn’t be emotional, I wouldn’t cry,” Durant said. “I’m a very emotional person, and I do cry a lot now. But I don’t know if I’ll cry in this situation.

“Basketball accomplishments to me now are just what they are. I can kind of separate the two now, I feel like. It’s more so just cool as hell, more than anything.”
