This week we visited Gary Radnich in his natural habitat, behind the mic of the KNBR blowtorch, to ask his opinion on the San Francisco 49ers newest franchise-quarterback hopeful, Jimmy Garoppolo.
Usually we have enough time to shoot a video during a commercial break, but the break was so short that Gary wanted to shoot the video live on air. And the rest was history.
He first gave a glowing review to Kyle Shanahan and John Lynch for attacking the trade deadline, and being aggressive to try and find a quarterback. But Larry wasn’t having it, and informed Gary he had to be negative to hit online.
So Gary tried again.
“I’ll make it short and sweet,” Gary said in full-on schtick mode. “You’re 0-8. You gotta be disgusted with yourselves. This is the worst team I’ve ever seen. You’re 0-8. Never have you started in 49ers history 0-8. You bring in a guy who couldn’t get on the field in New England.”
“All I know, is I’m Gary Rabnich, and you suck.”
Much better Gary. Much better.
