OAKLAND–Even on an off night, Warriors’ star Steph Curry nearly managed a triple-double against one of the top teams in the Western Conference, finishing with 22 points, eight rebounds and eight assists in Golden State’s 125-99 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Curry is off to a ridiculous start to the season, averaging the highest offensive rating of his career and the lowest turnover margin since he’s entered the league. While Curry’s points per game total is down, there’s an argument to be made that he’s playing the best basketball of his career.

An argument that Draymond Green refuses to hear.

The following is a back-and-forth Green had with a reporter following Wednesday’s game, when asked if he thinks Curry is peaking.

Reporter: “Draymond I know it wasn’t Steph’s best game but he almost had a triple-double in this one.”

Green: “Ooh, triple double”

“You’re used to them. How good has he been at the beginning of this season? Is he peaking? How does he compare..?”

Green: “Peaking?”

Reporter: “Yeah, his numbers are crazy.”

Green: “Are they? I’ve seen crazier. However, he’s been playing well. But yeah, I’ve seen him do way more. Peaking? That’s just ridiculous.”

Reporter: “Some of these advanced numbers…”

Green: “Advanced numbers? Peaking?”

Reporter: “I thought it was the best offensive season ever like two years ago.”

Green: “Yeah, but peaking? No.”

Reporter: “Plus-14 a game, true shooting percentage is up.”

Green: “Plus-14, like his plus-minus? I think he got the highest plus-minus in a season in NBA season.”

Reporter: “Yeah, he’s going to beat it.”

Green: “Peaking. That’s just ridiculous to say, bro.”
