How the Giants could swing trades for Giancarlo Stanton and other top players

The San Francisco Giants are clearly interested in Giancarlo Stanton, but there are also several other outfielders who could fill an immediate need for the franchise.

While the Miami Marlins’ slugger is the most widely discussed star in the game, the Giants have a variety of needs to fill and an objective to find a center fielder, third baseman, and veteran reliever by the time the organization convenes for Spring Training in February.

On this edition of The KO Podcast with Kerry Crowley, KNBR.com’s Kerry Crowley and Cody Pasby of KNBR’s Minor League Podcast discuss the possibility of a Stanton-to-San Francisco trade and what it would take for the Giants to acquire the star. They also dive into the teams Giants’ general manager Bobby Evans should be calling this offseason, including a number of players from those teams who fit the franchise’s needs.

While Buster Posey and Brandon Crawford appear safe for now, Kerry and Cody also examine the possibility of a Madison Bumgarner trade, and detail the players and prospects the Giants do have who could appeal to other franchises.
