Draymond Green ruled out Monday night against Trail Blazers

OAKLAND – Steve Kerr told media before Monday’s contest against the visiting Portland Trial Blazers that the team would be without their star forward Draymond Green, who will sit out the game with lingering shoulder soreness.

Green sat out last Wednesday when the Warriors played the Charlotte Hornets for shoulder soreness. He the played two days later, but posted a less-than-stellar stat line of two points, 6 boards and 13 rebounds in more than 38 minutes of action.

Sunday afternoon the team listed Draymond Green as probable for Monday’s game, but it seems as if Kerr isn’t taking any injury chances this early in the season.

The Warriors will also be without Green’s frontcourt partner Zaza Pachulia, who will also miss the game due to shoulder soreness. Pachulia has played in only one of the team’s previous three game.

There is some good news on the injury front, as Golden State will get Patrick McCaw back after the 2nd-year pro missed two games with a concussion. McCaw underwent the league’s concussion protocol, was a full participant in practice on Sunday, and will be good to go Monday night against the Trail Blazers.
