The 49ers’ winning and good play has them accomplishing a number of “firsts.” And here comes another one, the team is favored to beat the Titans on Sunday; the first time they’ve been favored to win all season.
The 49ers were briefly favored to beat the Giants, but then the line swung into the Giants’ favor. Oddsmakers before the season didn’t have the 49ers favored to win any of their 16 games.
Now, money has swung in the 49ers’ favor this week to beat Tennessee. The 49ers haven’t been favored to win a game since last season. They were favored to beat the Buccaneers, Jets and Bears last year, and lost all three of those games.
Two of the 49ers’ three wins this season have been on the road, with the team coming off consecutive wins in Chicago and Houston.
This will be the home starting debut for new quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo and that might be one reason Vegas likes the 49ers in this one. Garoppolo is expected to get quite the reception.
