The big news for the 49ers is the placement of right tackle Trent Brown on season-ending injured reserve. Coach Kyle Shanahan said that veteran Zane Beadles, typically a guard, would replace Brown for the final three games of the season.
Brown is the 20th 49er to place on injured reserve this year, which leads the league.
The other concerns are at cornerback where rookie Ahkello Witherspoon (knee) and Greg Maybin (calf) are listed as “questionable.” Maybin replaced Witherspoon last week when he exited in Houston after hurting his knee. Both Maybin and Witherspoon were limited in practice all week.
Safety Adrian Colbert was also limited in practice all week with thigh and thumb issues, however he was not on the injury report.
The Titans will be without starting outside linebacker Derrick Morgan (knee) when they visit the 49ers on Sunday. Also strong safety Johnathan Cyprien is listed as questionable with a back injury. .
