Down 23-22, Jimmy Garoppolo and the 49ers offense took the field at their own 25 yard line with 1:06 remaining in Sunday’s game against the Titans. Six plays and a minute later, 49ers kicker Robbie Gould hit his sixth field of the afternoon to give San Francisco their third consecutive win since making a potentially franchise altering switch at QB.
It was back-to-back completions to TE George Kittle for 24 yards and WR Marquise Goodwin for 14 yards that put San Francisco back in field goal position. Garoppolo was unflappable all afternoon, going 31-for-43 for 381 yards and a touchdown, while posting a QB rating of 106.8.

Speaking of unflappable, Gould had the game of his life, going 6-fo-6 on field goals, four of which were from 45 yards or longer. Gould now has two game winning field goals in his last three games.
