Warriors’ locker room showers didn’t have hot water after victory in Cleveland [report]

If you can’t beat ’em, freeze ’em?

That was apparently somebody’s plan after the Warriors 118-108 victory over the Cavaliers at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland on Monday night. According to multiple reports, Warriors players could be heard screaming and laughing in discomfort due to a lack of hot water in the locker room showers post-game. Apparently, the Warriors took the situation with good humor and were not upset.

“Man, they got to do something in ‘The Q.’ Somebody call Bron!” Kevin Durant yelled, referring to LeBron James.

Golden State needs to get used to the cold. It was 27 degrees in Cleveland on Monday night and is expected to be around 10 degrees in Chicago where the Warriors play on Wednesday, in their fourth game of this five game road trip.

While the Cavs might have been able to cool Golden State down after the game, they had no answer for them on the court in the teams’ final matchup of the regular season. The Cavs have now lost four consecutive games and 9 of their last 12, while the Warriors have won 8 of their last 9 and sit comfortably atop the Western Conference by 4.5 games.
