OAKLAND – Steve Kerr appears to be getting a bit comfortable with his job after notching is 250th win as a head coach.
So far during the Golden State Warriors matchup against the visiting Phoenix Suns, Steve Kerr has stayed out of his team’s huddle during timeouts. He has elected to stand with the rest of his coaching staff on the floor and away from the bench. He’s been drawing something on the board, and then handing it to one of his players who have then taken it to the rest of the huddle to discuss with their peers.
First it was Andre Iguodala who held court in front of his attentive teammates. Next it was Draymond Green, who took the clipboard from Kerr and appeared to draw up his own play out of the Warriors’ timeout.

If there was ever a night for the Warriors to get some of their veterans a rep or two as a head coach in the NBA, this is it. The Phoenix Suns entered the night with the worst defense in the NBA. With rising star Devin Booker sidelined with a hip pointer he suffered on February 4, it might be the worst loss of the year for the Warriors if they dropped the game against the Suns.
At least Steve Kerr would be off that hook.
