Warriors to be without top three scorers vs. Kings on Friday

The Kings odds to beat the Warriors for the second time this season just improved.

Already without Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry for the next few games, Golden State will also be without reigning NBA Finals MVP Kevin Durant on Friday against the Kings, as he nurses sore ribs.

The decision to keep Durant out seems more precautionary than anything. According to Anthony Slater of The Athletic, Durant had a pad on his ribs after Thursday’s practice, but was going through his typical routine, appearing unhindered. This will be the ninth game Durant has missed this season. Curry (ankle) will be re-evlauated on March 20, while Thompson (right thumb) will be re-evaluated on March 22.

In positive news, center David West is probable to return on Friday, after missing five games with a cyst in his right arm. Jordan Bell and Quinn Cook are also available.
