Stephen Curry is hoping to return from his right ankle sprain on Friday when the Warriors host the Hawks at Oracle Arena, according to Chris Haynes of ESPN. Curry will be re-evaluated on Tuesday by team doctors, and if there are no setbacks, he should be back in the lineup after missing six games. Golden State is 2-4 during Curry’s absence.
Golden State has a three-day break between Monday’s loss in San Antonio and their next game on Friday, that will feature two practices and a shoot around. Curry is expected to return before fellow All-Stars Klay Thompson and Kevin Durant. Thompson (thumb) is scheduled to be re-evaluated on Thursday, while Durant (ribs) is expected to be out through March 29. Draymond Green, who left Monday’s game with a pelvic contusion, is not expected to miss any additional time.
Curry tweaked his ankle on March 8 for the fourth time this season, and has not traveled with the team since that point.
