Tolbert’s Beer Review: Council Brewing Company Fade Into Obscurity IPA

By

/

Today Tom is learning, through osmosis, the meaning of double dry hopped with Council Brewing Company’s Fade Into Obscurity IPA.

The 6.7% beer originates from San Diego and packs Amarillo, Citra, and Motueka hops. The hazy color of this double dry hopped IPA, typical of northeastern style of IPA brewing, always gets tom excited.

From Council Brewing:

The 2nd release in our Hazy IPA series is, “Fade Into Obscurity!” Double Dry-Hopped with Motueka, Amarillo, and Citra, this beer hits you with a burst of juicy pineapple, smooths out with a silky mouth feel, and finishes with a dry light bitterness.

“This is a barbecue beer, a mow-the-lawn beer.”

Tom would know as he mowed lawns every weekend when he was younger. Admittedly what should’ve have taken Tom 30 minutes took him 4 hours as he would get distracted by any basketball, football, baseball, just any ball really, that would roll his way.

With summer around the corner Tolbert highly recommends this beer to pack with you for your next beach trip.
