After dropping 18 of his 20 points in the second half, Rockets star guard Chris Paul exited Thursday’s Game 5 with a right hamstring injury after missing a runner in the lane with 51.7 seconds remaining. Paul limped heavily during the next two possessions before exiting at the 22.4 mark.

The Rockets officially announced that Paul would receive treatment for the next 48 hours leading up to Game 6 on Saturday evening. Paul will be officially reevaluated Friday.

Following the game, Mike D’Antoni said that Paul is worried, according to the Associated Press.

“We’ll see [if he can play Game 6 on Saturday],” D’Antoni said in his postgame presser. “He’ll be evaluated tomorrow, but obviously you saw him limp off, and he’s a tough guy. They’ll do whatever they can do. If he’s there, great. If he isn’t, we have enough guys. … We’ll be all right.”

D’Antoni said that if Paul is not available for Game 6, Eric Gordon will take his place in the starting lineup.
