Tolbert’s Beer Review: Moonraker Hazy Duz It

By

There are endless sounds but there’s one that Tolbert puts at the top of his list, opening a beer.

“Tsss-ahhh” It’s almost as if the beer is taking a deep breath and relaxing with you. Tolbert remembers loving the sound of opening a can even when he was a kid opening cans of soda.

“Still, to this day, that sound is the best sound in the world,” Tolbert said. “Well maybe not the best sound but we’re gonna go the PG version, keep this thing clean”

From Moonraker:

ABV 8.5%, 70 IBU – This ultra juicy NE DIPA gets blasted with massive amounts of Mosaic, Citra, and Amarillo hops. Big apricot, mango, passion fruit, floral, and citrus hop flavors and aroma’s shine over a soft bread malt character.

Moonraker might be starting to give Fieldwork a run for Toms favorite brewery. However, Moonraker is located up in Sacramento, a little bit a of drive for Tom where Fieldwork is right across the water in Berkley.

“There are just certain breweries were you expect every beer, more than likely, that you’re gonna like it,” Tom said. “I haven’t had a ton of Moonraker beers but Im starting to find out, I – like – Moonraker.”

If you like hoppy beers, especially double IPAs then Tom couldn’t recommend this beer enough.
