Tolbert’s Beer Review: Moonraker Zulu Haze

If last week’s theme was top hats, Tom was too little too late on wearing this shirt.

Tom had forgotten to wear his sweet crow-wearing-a-top-hat shirt the week he talked about the history of the top hat – tisk tisk Tolbert.

“The top hat man, the top hat!” Tom said berating himself.

I think we’re all a little disappointed Tom, however we still love the shirt.

Lucky for Tom he still gets to drink beer from one of his favorite breweries: Moonraker. The brewery, located up in Sacramento, tends to pack their beers with all of his favorite hops. Tom makes clear though that he basically only drinks beers he likes and if they’re on a Tolbert Beer Review he’s bound to like it.

From Moonraker:

ABV 7.0%, IBU 50 –  Another New England style IPA. We use a simple grain bill and a significant portion of flaked oats. Simcoe and Citra hops work in harmony for huge flavors and aroma’s of evergreen, melon, guava, citrus, and passion fruit.

“I was wrong I don’t like this,” Tom said after a sip. “Ha! Just kidding!”

Very funny Tom, we definitely believed you.
