Two members of the San Francisco Giants are getting early love for their performances in 2018. Buster Posey and Brandon Crawford are leading the National League at their respective positions in votes for the MLB All-Star Game next month.

Posey (281,331 votes) sits ahead of the Cubs’ Willson Contreras (259,427 votes) and the Braves’ Kurt Suzuki (223,108 votes). Crawford (466,021 votes), meanwhile, has a commanding lead over the Braves’ Dansby Swanson and Addison Russell (210,764) of the Cubs, according to MLB.com.

Posey, 31, leads all NL catchers in hits (58) and batting average (.294), and is second in overall WAR (1.8). Posey is a five time All-Star who made the Midsummer Classic roster in 2012, 2013, 2015, 2016, and 2017.

Crawford, 31, is leading NL shortstops in hits (75), doubles (18), batting average (.338), on-base percentage (.385), slugging (.536), and wins-above replacement (2.9). Crawford made his lone All-Star appearance in 2015.

Interestingly, Brandon Belt, who is currently 10th in the majors in OPS (.950), sits in a distant third place (162,750 votes) behind fellow first-basemen Freddie Freeman (633,342) and Anthony Rizzo (248,275). Belt made the All-Star Game once in 2016. Belt is scheduled to return on June 15th after he was sent to the hospital for an emergency appendectomy on June 1.

The 2018 MLB All-Star Game will take place on July 11 at Nationals Park in Washington D.C.
