Warriors reach agreement with Stephen Curry’s future brother-in-law [report]

The Warriors have reached an agreement with former Hawks guard Damion Lee, according to Chris Haynes of ESPN. Interestingly, Lee is the fiancé of Stephen Curry’s sister Sydel Curry.

Lee played for the Warriors G-League affiliate in Santa Cruz last season until being signed by the Hawks to a 10-day contract on March 13. Lee ended up playing the remainder of the season in Atlanta, averaging 10.7 points per game in 11 appearances.

It is likely that Lee will be signed to one of the Warriors open “two-way contract” slots, which allow NBA teams to call up and send down a player from their G-League affiliate throughout the season.

At 6-foot-6, Lee has 3-and-D wing potential. Lee struggled from deep in his 10 games with the Hawks, shooting just 25 percent, but was a decent 3-point shooter in college, averaging 36.2 percent combined in four years at Drexel and one season at Louisville.
