It’s a four-year, $18,341,876 fully guaranteed deal for McGlinchey, the No. 9 overall pick. That leaves Baker Mayfield (1), Sam Darnold (3), Denzel Ward (4), Josh Allen (7) and Roquan Smith (8) unsigned in the top 10. https://t.co/5pj6HrYgNZ

That leaves second-rounder Dante Pettis as the last of San Francisco’s nine 2018 draft picks to sign a contract.
McGlinchey was drafted with the No. 9 overall pick in April’s draft. The Notre Dame product started 39 consecutive college games and was widely regarded as the top tackle prospect in this year’s class. When the 49ers signed him, it was initially unclear whether he would compete with Trent Brown or take a year to learn the ropes. The following day, Brown was traded to the Patriots, paving the way for McGlinchey as San Francisco’s starting right tackle of the present and future.
McGlinchey took first-team reps from the onset of mandatory mini-camp sessions in May. He quickly impressed offensive line coach John Benton with his ability to digest information and apply it that same day in practice.
He enters this season as a vital member of the 49ers’ offensive line tasked with protecting Jimmy Garoppolo and carving running lanes for Jerick McKinnon and the new-look 49ers backfield.
