The Giants won one and potentially lost one today. Fans will celebrate a 5-2 come-from-behind win over the Los Angeles Dodgers which featured four two-out runs in the ninth inning. But the team also saw Brandon Crawford leave the game with a potential concussion.

In the bottom of the fourth inning, Crawford and Gorkys Hernandez were chasing after a blooping ball hit by Clayton Kershaw to the left-field triangle. While Hernandez saw Crawford at the moment just before impact, Crawford was blindsided and appeared to take a knee from Hernandez to his head.

While both Crawford and Hernandez returned to hit in the top half of the fifth inning, Crawford left the game after his at-bat after talking to the Giants’ director of athletic training, Dave Groeschner. After the game, Bruce Bochy provided an update on Crawford’s condition.

Bochy said Crawford, despite returning to the game for an at-bat, was feeling shaken-up after the collision but is now feeling better. Crawford will be re-evaluated tomorrow, leaving his status as uncertain.
