McKinnie, 25, plays primarily small forward (6-foot-8, 215 lbs) and appeared in 14 games for the Raptors last season, averaging just 3.8 minutes per game. A Chicago native, McKinnie split time between the Eastern Illinois and Wisconsin-Green Bay, finishing his college career averaging 7.1 points and 5.1 rebounds in 96 games.
The Raptors waived McKinnie on July 17, just before his $1,378,242 salary for the upcoming season became guaranteed.
