On the heels of a Marcus Thompson report that Kevin Durant may be looking to leave Golden State this offseason, Draymond Green has stated that he’d like to stay in the Bay Area for the rest of his career.

“I’d love to,” Green said when asked about playing his entire career in Golden State in an interview with ESPN the Magazine. “When you look around the league today, how many guys have been with one team? Kobe (Bryant), Dirk (Nowitzki), (Tim) Duncan, Manu (Ginobili). It don’t happen like that anymore. That’d be amazing. But at the end of the day, it’s a business. Let the cards fall how they may.”

Green is the third member of the Warriors to express his desire to stay with the team long-term this offseason. Both Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry echoed the same sentiment earlier this summer.

“For sure I do,” Curry said when asked by Bill Simmons if he wants to be a Warrior for life. “This is home. This is where I want to be, for obvious reasons.”

“I love the Bay Area, man,” Curry said. “The only reason I go home now [to Charlotte] is if my sister’s getting married or to go play the Hornets for that one game, so I haven’t really been back much. I haven’t put my mind there.”

Thompson said the same.

“I’ve said it many times before: I would like to be a Warrior for life,” Thompson told Bay Area News Group. “Contract negotiations are way down the line. But I think we all have the same interest. I would love to be here for the rest of my career.”

Thompson is the first of the three set to become an unrestricted free agent, with his contract due to expire this offseason. Green’s deal is good until 2020, while Curry is locked up on a supermax deal until 2022.

Durant can opt-in and make $31.5 million with the Warriors or become a free agent next offseason.
