The Warriors now have two Cousins and a pair of brothers.
That’s according to Shams Charania of The Athletic, who reported on Friday morning that Golden State has signed Jaleel Cousins, the younger brother of DeMarcus Cousins, to an Exhibit 10 contract. The two are reportedly ‘extremely close.’

I can confirm this. DeMarcus and Jaleel are extremely close. This should only help DeMarcus’ transition with Golden State. https://t.co/OCoSNwHtgZ

The younger Cousins, 24, doesn’t have any current NBA experience, and has spent the last two seasons in the G-League and playing in Taiwan, respectively. Cousins, a 6′ 11″ 255 pound center, went undrafted out of the University of South Florida, where he averaged 8.5 points, 7.9 rebounds, 1.6 blocks and 25.0 minutes per contest in 33 games as a senior.
According to cap expert Larry Coon, an Exhibit 10 contract is as follows:
“An Exhibit 10 bonus can pay the player from $5,000 to $50,000 if the player is waived by his NBA team, signs with the G League, is assigned to the NBA team’s G League affiliate and stays there at least 60 days.”
