Tolbert’s Beer Review: Alvarado Street Salad Bowl

If you’re an avid watcher of our beer reviews you’ve probably noticed a change in scenery over the past few weeks. We’ve decided to take a more casual approach to the review, and have moved Tom on a couch in our station’s performance space.

We feel like this setting puts Tom in an optimal beer-drinking situation, one that he can give a more accurate review of his cerveza.

Let us know if it works or not. We’re here to serve you.

Anyway … this week we put the Alvarado Street Salad Bowl in front of Tom to try, and low and behold, he loved it. It’s a Yeast Driven IPA with 7% ABV. Notes from the brewer:

A fresh, juicy ode to the Salad Bowl of the World…aka Salinas, CA. Peach & apricot forward ester profile from a colorful yeast strain, further augmented by a dry hop round of El Dorado, Amarillo, Citra & Nugget.
